Sarah Landmesser is a textile artist and painter currently living and working in Atlanta, Georgia. Her work is a celebration of her idea of beauty and sense of color through abstraction. She is passionate about using color boldly both in painting and in textiles, and her love for the surface and optimistic view comes across whether in weaving, painting, or pottery. Landmesser creates bright and colorful patterns, drawing both on abstraction, animal motifs, and the figure in motion. She is passionate about the use of systems in her work, such as her daily painting practice where she creates a painting each day. Landmesser’s work has exhibited across the Southeast as well as most recently in NYC. Recently, she graduated from the University of Georgia with a BFA in Textile Design and a BBA in Marketing.
